the 2020 Football and Cheer Season has Been Cancelled
To All our SJR Families:
We have made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Football and Cheer Season.
We will begin the process to refund 100% of your registration fees.
We held out on making this decision as long as we reasonably could. We have been waiting since May for the Governor’s office and OHSAA to give us definitive details on test requirements and games. As it stands, the requirements are still the same and while OHSAA continues to remain hopeful for permission to truly participate in school vs school competition, situs judi slot online terpercaya it is still unknown. OHSAA is waiting for approval from the Governor’s office to allow regular competitions without the current requirement of mandatory COVID testing, but this is where it stands as of Friday July 31st.
We are not alone in this consideration; there are 8 teams in our 16 team league that have made the same decision for the same reasons. This mandate, the uncertainty of play, is not something we would be able to navigate.
While they may change the restrictions around testing and games in the future, we feel we owe it to our community to make the decision now while we are able to refund your fees.
This decision has been very difficult to make, but we feel it is the right choice. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
